Easy Teacher Gift

With the kids back in school, I thought I would share with you a simple little gift that I made for my son's teacher.  I've seen a few of the pencil vases on Pinterest and thought I would give it a go.  You will not need many supplies.  Glue gun, pencils, glass (I got mine from the dollar store), ribbon (American Craft from Craft Warehouse), and flowers. Make sure you buy a glass or vase that is straight so your pencils will glue around it nicely. When you're  finished gluing add ribbon and flowers.  Simple and cute!  

    

Altered Valentines Frame with Photoshop Embroidery

Check out my pretty valentines frame. I used My Mind's Eye paper State of the Heart by Jen Wilson. I added loads of ribbon, chipboard pieces, wire, jute, pearls, heart rhinestones, and punches. Then to design my redwork embroidery I used photoshop and then traced it onto my fabric with a red permanent marker. For the large rose I made a template in photoshop. I plan on posting a tutorial on this shortly. But for now, here are my pictures of it:)
